What's a brigadeiro?

Brigadeiro, pronounced bree.gah.day.ro, is the most popular candy in Brazil. Originally a simple confectionary treat served at birthday parties; made from condensed milk, butter, chocolate, and sprinkles; the humble brigadeiro has evolved to become a diverse and delicious dessert perfect for any occasion.

 It may be a little hard to explain, but it's easy to understand after the first bite.
